How we handle your information.

Ziggurat Automation Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through zigguratautomation.com, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.

Information We Collect

When you submit our contact form or request a scoping discussion, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, company name, role or title, project scope description, message, and any file you choose to attach (such as a PDF, Word document, or CAD drawing). This information is processed by Formspree, our form handling service, and delivered to us via email.

When you apply for a position, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn profile, the position you are applying for, your message, and your resume or CV. Applications are also processed by Formspree and delivered to us via email.

If you join our talent pipeline, we collect your name, email address, and area of interest; this form is also processed by Formspree. If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is sent to Buttondown, the service we use to manage newsletter subscriptions.

If you use our scheduling feature to book a scoping call, that interaction is handled by Microsoft Bookings. We receive the information you provide during the booking process (name, email, and any notes you include).

Analytics and Tracking

We use analytics services to understand how visitors interact with our site. These services record page views, referral sources, device type, browser, and general geographic region. We look at this data in aggregate and do not use it to identify you.

Our analytics services include:

  • Google Analytics 4 — collects usage data and sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to distinguish visitors across sessions. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel Analytics — performance monitoring (Web Vitals) and basic page view analytics. Cookieless. See Vercel's Analytics Privacy Policy.

Error Monitoring

We use Sentry to find and fix problems on this site. Sentry reports errors that occur in your browser and measures how quickly pages load, along with technical details such as the page address and your browser type. For about 1 in 10 visits, and for any visit in which an error occurs, Sentry also records a session replay, a reconstruction of what happened on the page. Replays mask all text and form entries and block images and other media. Like any web service, Sentry receives your IP address when your browser sends it data and may use it to estimate your general location. See Sentry's Privacy Policy.

Cookies

Our site uses minimal cookies. Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visitors and keep track of sessions. Both expire after 2 years by default, and some browsers may remove them sooner. Vercel Analytics and Sentry do not set any cookies.

We do not use marketing cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party tracking pixels.

Your Cookie Choices

Google Analytics and Sentry run by default to help us understand how visitors use this site and to fix problems. You can opt out at any time:

  • Opt out — Google Analytics stops recording your activity right away (anything recorded in the moment before you clicked may still be sent) and its cookies are removed from your browser. From the next page you open, Google Analytics no longer loads, and Sentry stops sending error reports, page timings, and replays.
  • Got it — acknowledges the notice. These services continue to operate normally.

To change your preference, use the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer. Your choice is stored in your browser and persists across visits.

Vercel Analytics stays active whatever you choose. It does not use cookies; instead, Vercel recognizes a visit by a temporary hash created from the page request, which it discards after 24 hours. Separately, if your browser blocks something our security settings do not allow, it may send Sentry a report with details such as the page address, the referring page, and the address that was blocked. These reports come from your browser itself and are not affected by your choice.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate this website:

  • Vercel — website hosting, deployment, and cookieless analytics
  • Formspree — processing for the contact, job application, and talent pipeline forms, including attached files
  • Microsoft Bookings — scheduling service for scoping calls
  • Google Analytics — website usage analytics
  • Sentry — error monitoring, performance measurement, and session replay
  • Buttondown — newsletter subscriptions

Each service processes data according to its own privacy policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.

Your Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know — you may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to delete — you may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you.
  • Right to opt-out — we do not sell personal information. If this changes, we will provide an opt-out mechanism.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. One exception: the analytics services listed above follow what this site actually loads, so if we switch one on or off, that list changes right away without a new date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
